Did you know?

• We make no charge for our services
• One in three people have been affected by hcare
• In the last year, there were 240 attendances in our In-Patient Unit and 796 attendances in our Day Hospice
• We also provided bereavement counselling for 436 local people last year

The local Primary Care Trust provides some of our funding, with the remaining £1,200,000 raised through the generosity of local people who make donations and support our charity shops and fundraising events.

What those costs mean:

• Each overnight stay at the hospice costs St Cuthbert's Hospice £370 per person
• Our Day Hospice sessions costs St Cuthbert's £150 per person
• We provide our services for free of charge which means that we must raise more than £4,300 every day to ensure that St Cuthbert’s Hospice can continue to provide the services needed by local people.
