Support Groups
Support Groups are groups of people in the local community who fundraise on behalf of St Cuthbert's Hospice through planning a variety of events; from coffee mornings and curry evenings, to fashion shows and football tournaments.
Groups can meet as regularly as they like to plan events in support of the hospice. There are currently two St Cuthbert's Support Groups; one in Sherburn Village and another in Chester-Le-Street. Both groups have been responsible for raising vital funds for the hospice; the Sherburn Village group have raised over £13,000 for the hospice, and the Chester-Le-Street group regularly hold coffee mornings and coach trips to raise funds.
By setting up or joining a Support Group, you will become the voice of the hospice in the local community. You will also get the chance to meet new people and have great fun coming up with ideas for fundraising events. You don't have to have a particular skill of experience to be part of a Support Group, all you need is a passion for fundraising and a willingness to help your local hospice!
If you would like to join a Support Group or set up one of your own, please contact Jade McArdle on 0191 386 1170.
