Where is the sky dive taking place?

The Sky Dive takes place at the Peterlee Parachute Centre, The Airfield, Shotton Colliery, Durham, DH6 2NH.

Will I be sky diving in tandem?

Yes, you will be strapped to an experienced instructor, who will fully prepare you for the sky dive before your jump. You will share a modern, extra-large parachute. After a freefall of several thousand feet, the instructor opens the parachute. The instructor deals with any emergencies. The dual control parachute lets you practice canopy control and the instructor controls the landing.

Is there a minimum sponsorship?

Yes, the required minimum sponsorship is £400. The minimum sponsorship makes sure that we cover the costs of your jump and raise as much as we can for local people with life-limiting conditions.

Will I pay a deposit?

Yes, a £70 deposit is payable for all participants, which is non-refundable.

Are there any age restrictions?

Anyone over the age of 16 can jump, although under 18’s require written permission from either a parent or guardian.
