The Carers Support Group will run as part of the Community Outreach Project to extend support for Carers in the community.
The group has been developed to offer social support for Carers who may need to bring their loved one with them.
There will be a range of activities and plenty of time for a cuppa and a chat.
We recognise that everyone’s experience as a Carer is unique and the support and care required for one will be different for another.
Our Community Outreach support groups do not provide clinical support but are delivered as social and educational sessions.
We promote positive approaches to Living Well as a Carer.
How to refer into the Community Outreach Services
Application to attend the support groups must be made by referral from professionals based in the community or via self-referral. Our Community Outreach Services will follow up with a short telephone assessment within 15 days of the referral.
