Taking part in the Durham City Run is a great way to experience a different side of the historic city of Durham.
Making your way around the 5k or 10k route, you will get the chance to enjoy running along a course that loops around the World Heritage Site and River Wear.
By taking part in the Durham City Run 5k or 10k and raising funds for St Cuthbert’s Hospice, you’re helping us to continue caring for those living with life-limiting illnesses, people approaching the end of life and families who are bereaved.

As a thank you for taking part in the Durham City Run for St Cuthbert’s Hospice, you will receive:
- Complimentary St Cuthbert’s Hospice running vest or t-shirt
- Comprehensive fundraising pack and support
- An invite to join our free weekly running club St Cuthbert’s Champions here at the Hospice
- An invite to our yearly coffee and cake thank you
- Join us in the event village on the day, so we can say thank you in person with refreshments and snacks!
There is no registration fee to take part in the Durham City Run for St Cuthbert’s Hospice but in registering you are agreeing to raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship for us.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to buy your own place, or if you have already registered for the run, and still want to raise funds for St Cuthbert’s Hospice please do get in touch and we will be able to provide you with a Hospice t-shirt or vest and sponsorship forms.
