At St Cuthbert’s Hospice, every day is about helping people live as fully as possible. Whether it’s expert care, emotional support, opportunities to connect with others, or simply a friendly conversation, we’re here to make every day count for local people and their families.
Many people are surprised to discover the wide range of support available through the Hospice. From our Living Well Centre, which helps people maintain their independence, confidence and wellbeing, to specialist bereavement support, our care reaches far beyond what many expect from a hospice.
As Richard’s story in this edition shows, the Hospice can become a place of friendship, purpose and belonging at life’s most challenging times.
None of this would be possible without the kindness and generosity of our supporters. Whether through regular giving, playing our Win Win Lottery, volunteering, fundraising or leaving a gift in a Will, every contribution helps ensure our care remains available to local people when they need it most.
In our Autumn/Winter 2026 edition of Insight Magazine, you can read inspiring stories from people whose lives have been touched by the Hospice, learn more about the impact of our Living Well Centre, and discover how your support helps us continue providing compassionate care, comfort and support across County Durham.
