We are thrilled to share that our incredible Volunteer Gardeners have had their hard work and dedication recognised at the Northumbria in Bloom awards.

Northumbria in Bloom runs a campaign every year to recognise, encourage and reward community groups who work together to transform their village, town or city through gardening, environmental awareness and community support.

Not only did the team win gold, but were also selected as the overall category winner!

Our volunteer gardeners put their heart and soul into making our grounds as welcoming as possible.

As well as being a beautiful outlook for our patients and their visitors, our day guests, staff and volunteers also get to enjoy the wonderful gardens at St Cuthbert’s Hospice. They are a place to connect, reflect, and create precious memories together. We know that every day matters, and we’re here to make each one count with compassion and care.

Our gardens are open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday 11am-3pm, so come along and see them for yourself! 🌳
