Ray Mendez has volunteered at St Cuthbert's Hospice for over 17 years. He's undertaken many different roles in that time and shares with us his current role and why he enjoys volunteering.
One of Ray’s seasonal roles includes managing orders of our Christmas Cards and Calendars, sending them out to customers and distributing them to many shops in the local area who kindly stock them for us.
Each month in the calendar is sponsored by a local business. This year, one of the months became vacant due to retirement of one of the business owners. Ray immediately asked if he could step in and sponsor the month himself 💚
So we wanted to share a little of Ray’s story. Our little way of saying thank you to him for all he does for us. Each and every one of our volunteers help us to keep on caring and be there for people at one of the most difficult times of their lives.
