All day today, for twenty four whole hours, our full clinical running costs have been donated in loving memory of Amanda Horobin with a ‘Pay for a Day’ donation. We share below the kind words of Amanda’s family:
“We lost Amanda last year although it seems like yesterday. Amanda was a caring wonderful mom, daughter, and aunty to all the family. We didn’t have long after she was diagnosed with cancer, only 30 days. St Cuthbert’s Hospice were a god send, what a bunch of heroes. They treated us like family and managed to get Amanda well enough so she could come home for the last 8 days of her life. After her diagnosis Amanda never said ‘why me?’, she just wanted to come home so she could die peacefully surrounded by her family and thanks to the wonderful people at St Cuthbert’s she got her wish.
The lads: Jim, Mark and Graeme did the St Cuthbert’s Walk to raise this money and they are all heroes in our family’s eyes. We would like to thank everyone who donated in honour of Amanda.
Thank you St Cuthbert’s for all the help, we will never forget all of you. Amanda was taken far too soon, her Birthday is today 20th December, gone but definitely not forgotten. In our hearts forever.”
