St Cuthbert’s Hospice are ‘branching out’ and extending its Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme to new postcodes in County Durham for 2024! The charity based in Durham, launched the environmentally friendly service in 2021 and their last collection saw them recycle over 500 real trees from across the region and raise over £6,000 to support local families who need care and support.
6000 To Take on Santa Runs for Hospice
Over 30 schools and groups have signed up to support St Cuthbert’s Hospice this festive season by taking on their own Santa Run in aid of the charity. Santa Runners are going to be donning their best festive attire and raising sponsorship for the much-loved Hospice, based in Durham City.
Julia and Hans Rausing donate £8.7 million to 27 UK hospices under financial pressure
We are delighted to announce that St Cuthbert's Hospice is one of the 27 hospices across the UK to be selected for an extremely generous grant from Julia and Hans Rausing. The funds will be used to help cover the rising day-to-day costs, caused by inflation and high energy prices.

Friends to Walk 200 Miles for Local Hospice
In celebration of Durham City RFC Clubs’ 150th anniversary and to raise money for St Cuthbert’s Hospice, a group of six friends from Durham are planning on walking to every affiliated rugby club in County Durham this autumn.
