St Cuthbert's Hospice is delighted to have received a 10-Year Recognition Award from the National Garden Scheme, marking a decade of opening our Hospice gardens as part of the National Garden Scheme and helping to support the charity's vital work.

Eddie McGourley from Houghton-le-Spring has become a world record holder after completing the iconic Land’s End to John O’Groats journey and setting a new benchmark as the fastest octogenarian to complete the challenge.

Milestone birthday celebrations by local gentleman will see him undertake a sponsored walk in aid of St Cuthbert's Hospice, to honour the care his daughter-in-law received.
