Ten year old Lucy came to visit us to drop off £125 she raised by selling small bags of lavender to friends and family. Lucy collected the lavender from her Grampy’s garden and with a little help, dried it and added it to small purple bags to sell. The lavender smells wonderful and is well known to relax and aid rest. Lucy told us that she wanted to do this as her Dad has received respite care here at St Cuthbert’s on a few occasions and she wanted to raise some money to say thank you to us for looking after him. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Lucy and accept her wonderful donation.
