All day today, for twenty four whole hours, our Living Well Centre costs have been donated in loving memory of Heather Almond with a ‘Pay for a Day’ donation.

We share below the loving words of Heather’s family:

“Heather Almond was first and foremost a loving wife of 61 years. A wonderfully natural mother, a warm and welcoming mother-in-law, a fun and young at heart grandmother and a sincere friend and we are forever thankful for that goodness.

Someone always with a smile on her face, her love and kindness for her family and friends was something of amazing beauty.

Heather had a deep Christian faith that meant she was ready to hold her hand out to life with trust, and to have The Reverend Stephen Martin minister to Heather and her family whilst at St Cuthbert’s Hospice as an in-patient was hugely comforting.

Edward, Peter, Graeme and Fiona will be forever grateful for the care Heather received at St Cuthbert’s Hospice. Enabling her to spend the last weeks of her life back in her own home, in her own bedroom, overlooking the garden she enjoyed so much with her family around her and of course Baxter the dog.

We will always remember the full life she led and our memories of that life keep Heather with us everyday.“

We are extremely grateful for this special donation in Heather’s memory. 💚
