Houghton-le-Springtime

What’s it like in our shops? Well, it’s pretty good, actually. They’re always busy and they are incredibly important for us. Here’s a scene from our newest shop in Newbottle Street, Houghton-le-Spring, where supervisor Tracy and volunteer Beryl are having a bit of a laugh with one of our wonderful customers who’s holding up a very nice dress.

Tracy said: “People here are really, really lovely. We always get our regulars. They spend a little bit every day. And people come in for a chat and a browse.
“I don’t think people realise the quality of clothes you get in our charity shops. You can dress really well.”
The shop’s next to M & Co. if you can’t quite place it. Happy hunting in our charity shops!
